My name is Christine
Taylor and I came from
England to beautiful
Maui many years ago.
I married and raised my children here
and have been an active participant
in Hawaii's early childhood community.
My education relating to children began
in the English college system including
English nanny qualifications (NNEB)
and Montessori certification. I worked
in group children's homes and I was a
nanny for three years for a wonderful
family in England.

In Hawaii I began by teaching child-
birth education classes and working
in preschools. I have continued my
education by attending many classes
offered by the University of Hawaii
system. I have been a preschool director
and the island coordinator of a state-
wide, non profit child care resource
and referral agency before I became a
business owner. The interests of families
and young children have always been
my passion and I have been a vocal
advocate relating to childcare issues
statewide and at a national level. I am
currently a member of Maui
Community College Human Services
Committee & Maui's Good Beginnings
Community Council.
